The beauty of fall

For all the whining I did this summer about my garden, I don’t want to leave you with the impression that zone 9 gardening is horrible, it’s not.

With the cooler weather, plants are green and lush and some that haven’t flowered in a while are flowering.

If you live where it snows, enjoy it and make a snowman for us!

What does your fall look like?

  1. Just visiting (I am a friend of Dandelion House!) and wanted to tell you about our fall in the Pacific Northwest. The leaves are falling now and we are into frost, though we had the best vegetable garden this year! Lovely year for peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and of course, pumpkins..I noticed that the folks that had the hardy variety of hibiscus trees had beautiful displays of blooms this year (must get one!). I discovered the thrill of succulents and have been propagating and planting pots. Of course many are not hardy here, so my sun porch is now a succulent zone! We had many weeks of 90ish weather this summer, and we have had early frost. Who know what this winter will bring??? Good luck to you in your gardening endeavors..
