Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound fideo vermachelli or broken angel hair pasta
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 4-5 cloves garlic -diced
  • 1 14oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 – 8oz can tomato sauce optional
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, brown hamburger meat with onion and garlic over medium heat.
  2. Add pasta and toast pasta until it's evenly browned.
  3. Add tomatoes and about 5-6 cups water and the seasonings. Stir.
  4. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low and cook until pasta is soft.
  5. Leave the lid off for a fideo seca and put the lid off for fideo sopa.
  6. Enjoy!
